I have a love for banana bread and really got to make a lot of it during the COVID-19 lockdown but overtime I began to get curious as to what other fruits I could make in to bread form. With a little research and a bit of experimentation, the honey and peach bread recipe was born.
My Recipe

- 2 cups of flour
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt
- 1 stick of melted unsalted butter
- 1 cup of honey
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1-1 1/2 cup of sliced peaches
Instructions
Blend together the peaches in a food processor or a blender. Pour blended peaches into a large bowl. Put in your baking soda, salt, melted unsalted butter, sour cream, eggs, vanilla extract, and honey. You want to put your flour through a sifter ½ cup at a time to break up the flour because it will come out as little lumps when you slice your bread. Make sure when you have everything in your bowl you mix everything together with a spoon first then an electric mixer. Put the mixture in a loaf pan. You can sprinkle a small line of cinnamon in the middle but that’s completely optional. It just adds a nice look to the bread.
Preheat oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake for 1 hour.
* Making sure everything is blended well is important here because honey is one of your ingredients that will hold on to everything so you want to loosen it up as much as you can.
*You can use canned peaches like I did just run it through water first.
